New Things!

I got pictures of Brynlee taken today, and I just had to post some! She did so good! She did keep running off though, I couldn't keep her still!!!
She is such a blessing to me though, I absolutely love her to death, I can't believe how smart she is. She can now say mom and dad and Hi and bost, and a few other things! My favorite is when Matt goes downstairs to watch TV or something and she doesn't follow him, she just sits at the top of the stairs and yells down to him "Daddd! DADDD!!! Daddd! as matt yells back, its such a cute thing, I love it! She understands things now, when I say lets go take a bath, she goes straight to the tub and starts pulling at her jammies to get them off. Or when I say lets go get a cracker she knows exactly what cupboard they are in. And Brynlee is Bostons new favorite friend, she loves giving him treats and I swear 5 times a day she will walk over to the cupboard with his treats in it and start pulling at it, that means she wants to give him another one. Oh and by the way, dog food must not taste that aweful because at least 2 times a day I catch her putting her hands in his dog food, and almost everytime she has a peice in her month! YUCK!

Well its a new year and so I guess I should post some new pictures. Christmas was good, we had a good time with family and friends. I'll get straight to the point and post some pictures, cause thats all people want to see anyways. Oh but there is one other thing, I am posting a video of Brynlee dancing to Sugarland, "stuck like glue" She loves that song. :)

Brynlee is 1!

Brynlee turned 1 on November 12th! I can't believe its been a whole year! She is getting so big and has the cutest personality, I just love her. So along with milestones comes Doctors appointments. We went to the doctors office yesterday for her 1 year appointment. She is a light weight, weighing in at 16lbs 14oz. She was 16lbs 4oz at 9 months, so needless to say she didn't gain much weight. But she grew in length a couple inches. She is below the 2% in weight and in the 60% for length. So the doctor says she is tall and skinny, and thats not too bad, he says he isn't worried to much about her weight right now, but to just keep trying high calorie foods. When I find something she likes I overload her on it! I just love watching her little mind work, she is so curious about things, and is so bound and determined to figure things out for herself. Examples of why I can't get enough of her... -Taking the lid off a water bottle and working at putting it back on...for a baby with those small hands to get it on just right takes time. -Taking my wallet out of my purse and pulling every thing out of it. -I take her to work with me and she is on this kick where she goes and opens all the paper drawers to the printer, so when we want to print we can't cause they are all open. We decided we would tape the drawers closed so she can't open them... She sat there for minutes apon minutes working at pulling the tape off. Her little fingers just picking at the tape. -Our little sweetheart has never taken a bottle, a binkie, she doesn't like cows milk, she doesn't like juice... the list goes on. She only likes the veggie baby foods, not fruit ones, and she will only drink water out of her sippy cup. Which is great because water doesn't cost money.. -She loves to look at pictures on my camera with me. She giggles at home videos of herself. -She has been walking for a month now, so now she tries running everywhere. -She has the prettiest blue eyes I have ever seen. -She doesn't sleep through the night. She wakes up at 1:30am and 3:30am and then wakes up for the morning at 6:30am and don't try and make her go back to sleep, it makes her mad. But once I get out of bed with her she is so much fun to play with in the morning. That is her happiest time of the day! -She has the best smile in the world. (espcially now that her 2 bottom teeth are in) -She has a temper just like her dad -She likes to dance, and she has moves like her mom... :) Brynlee is such a sweetheart I am so happy she is part of our family! Pumpkin Patch

We took Brynlee to her first Pumpkin Patch yesterday. She is still to young to really enjoy it, we mostly just took pictures and walked around with her. But I think in the years to come she will really love the tradition of going to pick our pumpkins for the fall.

This is Brynlee riding the horse at Matts parents house. I know its not really funny because she gets hurt in it... but at the same time it was kinda funny! I don't know maybe she will be a little cowgirl...she will have to toughen up if thats the case!

We went up to the Heber Valley Camp sites this last weekend with my dads family. It was so much fun. We did the Challenge Course. As you can see in these pictures, you had to climb up this log that was hanging, so it swayed a little while you climbed up it. Then you had to walk across a wire with only the help of a rope to hold on to as well. And then once you got to the end you ziplined down to the bottom. It was so fun!!!! We had a blast.
You will also see pictures of Brynlee playing in the sand! We found out this weekend that she loves the SAND!!!! We couldn't get her out of it!!!

New Camera

So I got a new camera a few weeks ago, and I have been playing with it and having alot of fun. The other day I was outside with Boston and Brynlee and I decided to snap a few shots, they play so well together, Boston kept bringing his tennis ball over to her and dropping it in front of her, she would grab it and hold it for a minute and then lay it back down, I would throw it for him and then he would bring it back to do it all over again! I might put a few others pictures of other things so enjoy them and we are doing alot of fun things this summer so hopefully I'll have even more to put on here!

We went down to New Mexico this weekend to buy a truck from Perry my brother inlaw, and while we were down there Brynlee had a great time with her cousins! Oh and she tasted her first lemon... it was so funny because she would suck on it for along time like 10 seconds and then we would pull it away from her and thats when she would make the sour face, it was so cute! I love that little girl!

While down there we went rock climbing in Perrys Land Cruiser, it was so fun and so scary, we went up some steep stuff, I swear Matt and I were looking straight up at the back of their seats, I thought we would flip so many times, but Perry was a good driver! It was a blast! Thanks for taking us Perry!

Camping Trip

We went on our first camping trip this year. This was Brynlee's 1st camping trip! She absolutely loved it! We wentup Spanish Fork Canyon! We took our new tent trailer and Lauri and Trevor came with us and Drew and Ali and their little boys came, we all had a really good time! We rode horses and four wheelers and I even got to go shoot the guns! I tried really hard to hit the soda cans, but missed everytime! I guess I'm not a very good aim! We were nervous about the weather but it turned out to be a really good weekend, perfect camping weather! My parents came up and visited each night, it was fun to have them there. I have some really good pictures of the trip, so enjoy!

Brynlee has grown and developed more skills over the past week! She is getting so big too fast! She sits up on her own, she has definitly found her voice, she loves to jabber jabber jabber. She loves Rice Cereal, and we gave her Sweet Peas last night, our first attempt at baby food... and she loved them!!! Check that veggie off the list! She likes that one! Now we will have to try the others! Here are a few cute pictures of our little sweetheart!

St. George

We made a trip down to St. George this past weekend. My family was going down, Matts brother and his family was going down, so we didn't want to miss out on any fun, so we went down and enjoyed a fun weekend in the sun! And we hit a mile stone with Brynlee. This weekend she started sitting on the floor all by herself. She has done rather well with her boppy around her but this weekend she sat on the floor and played with toys all by herself! She did have a few face plants and backward falls, but she didn't really good, I was so proud of her. She is getting so big, way too fast! She turns 5 months old tomorrow! She is such a sweet heart, she has a heart of gold! :)
She was so good for my mom this weekend too. On saturday Matt and I went and walked the Sand Hollow golf course with my Grandma Francom and Lynn. It was alot of fun, I have golfed since I have been pregnant so it was good to hit the old clubs again. It was pretty frustrating though. I didn't hit the ball very well at all. But I putted alright:) It wasn't until the 9th hole which was a par 5 that I hit my driver amazingly! Well it was amazing compared to my drives on all the other holes. I ended up getting a par on that hole!
Brynlee also was introduced to a swimming pool this weekend. She was so cute in the water, she is a little swimmer girl! I was so glad she liked it. Because I love the water, and I hope she enjoys swimming, cause it is so much fun!

4 Months old

So Brynlee had her 4 month doctors appointment last week and I forgot to blog about it! She weighed in at 13 pounds 1 ounce putting her in the 32%tile for kids her age. She was 25 inches long putting her in the 72%tile. She is getting so big I can't believe it! Time is passing so fast. I feel like she just came into this world yesterday! She is such a good baby, Matt and I couldn't be happier with her. She is a good sleeper and smiles constantly. Here are a few recent pictures of our little darling!

We haven't had anything new happen recently. Matt is in California for work this week, so I am down at my parents house spending some time with them. I hope everyone had a good Valentines Day! Brynlee was dressed in a beautiful dress that my mother made for her. She was so cute in it, everyone at church commented on it! Here is a picture of her in it, and she is smiling!!!

Blessing Day

We blessed Brynlee on January 3rd. She was so pretty in her dress. The amazing thing about her Blessing dress is that its the same dress I wore on my blessing day. My talented mother made it 25 years ago, and it looked beautiful on little Brynlee.
Brynlee had her 2 month doctors appointment yesterday. I can't believe how big she is getting. I don't know where the last 2 months have gone! She did amazingly well and only cried for a little bit when she got the shots. She now weighs 11 pounds 2 ounces which is average for kids her age. She was 24 inches long which is in the 77% of kids her age. (We hope she stays on that course, maybe she will be tall!) Here are a few cute pictures of her over the last few weeks. She smiles so much now, I can't believe it! Matt is the best at getting her to smile, she sure loves her daddy!

So I have been trying to get these new pictures on here, but for some reason my computer isn't uploading them... Wierd! Anyways I have posted 2 new really cute pictures of Brynlee at the bottom of my blog... I know its a pain to scroll all the way to the bottom, but until I get the normal picture link figured out thats where the new pictures I post will be!
Things are going well with us. Christmas was alot of fun, we were able to go see both Matt and I's family,I just love Christmas time. Brynlee had a good Christmas... I think... hahah she probably just thought it was another day, except being out all day and seeing new faces, I'm sure she loved all the attention. Christmas time is such a special time, I am glad we were able to spend time with family!

Brynlee came into our lives November 12th 2009 at 3:50pm. I labored with her for 11 and 1/2 hours. Thank heaven for Epidurals! She finally came to us weighing in at 7lbs 11 oz and 20 inches long. She is a healthy little thing that is doing great! Matt and I can't get enough of her! Thanks to everyone for the support you have shown Matt and I! We are so excited to start this journey through life with our new little one! Here are a few pictures, and of course there will be more to come!

Brynlee's Room

We finally got most of the final touches done to Brynlee's Room. My parents were nice enough to come up and help us with the decorations. My mother is so so so talented! I have taken pictures of the room, pretty much everything that you see that is fabric my mom sewed. The curtains, the baby bedding, the hamper! She has been such a help in getting the room ready. Wait I have to mention that Matt has done a very good job at helping with it too! Thanks so much for everyones help!

I have also posted some pictures of the baby shower Ali threw for me a few weeks ago, it was so good seeing everyone and thanks to everyone for all the cute things you gave me. Brynlee is going to look so cute in all the cute outfits and homemade blankets that were given to her.

Picture overload!! I never update this, but I took the cutest pictures of Matt and little Tyson playing ball in the back yard. We watched Jordan and Erins cute kids one afternoon and it was a blast! Matt and Tyson had fun playing ball and Taylor and I had fun running around the yard, eating popsicles, and playing with Boston. Thanks to Jordan and Erin for letting us watch the kiddos! Its good practice for us!!!

So I talked to my good friend Katie Staker the other day and she was sad I hadn't put any pictures of my pregnant self on my blog... There is good reason for that..! So I had my coworker Melissa take a random snap shot of me at the office. Now everyone that hasn't seen me in real life can see how big my belly has grown over the last 9 months! Enjoy! London Trip

Matt was able to go to London last week on a work trip. At least thats what he claims it was for! He had a really good time and said that he would like to take me back sometime to see the sights! YEAH!! The only thing I don't like about him going out of the country on work trips is that his phone doesn't work, and I don't get to talk to him. We did communicate by email a little bit, so that was good. Matt was also lucky enough to be flying back to New York City the same day the Yankees were playing the Red Sox. He was able to go to the game at Yankee Stadium. The Red Sox did not win that game, but he had a good time going out and seeing his team play! Hopefully him and I can go to one in BOSTON one of these days!

Labor Day Weekend

We actually went and did something fun, so I thought I would post some pictures! Oh and not to mention I haven't had the camera out forever because Matt seemed to put it in his hunting gear and I couldn't find it! We bought a Tent Trailer this last week, and took it out on our first adventure this past weekend. We went up to strawberry and did some camping. We had such a good time, I am so glad we bought it! It will be so nice to have with a little one. It even has a bathroom!!! YEAH!!!
Drew and Ali came and so did my sister Lauri and her husband Trevor. We had the horses up there, along with the 4wheelers my parents brought up saturday morning. They stayed most of the day and then even came back up sunday to hang out some more. Matt and Drew didn't have any luck with the hunting part of the trip, but everyone had a good time otherwise!

Baby Girl

Hi everyone! So Matt and I went in for the 20 week appointment that included the ultrasound! We told the doctor we didn't want to know what it is, but that we wanted her to write it down and put it in an envelope so we could open it with family. She went over all the main baby parts, brain, kidneys, heart, face, spine, and tons more. We were so happy to find out that our baby looks very healthy at this point, no problems developing at all. This was such a relieve to me as I had been worrying the last few days for the ultrasound, hoping and praying everything would be developing ok. Technology is so amazing, I can't believe what they can do and see. It was so amazing to see the postions of the baby and facial shots! We have an ultrasound photo from yesterdays visit of the babies face and her arms are cuddled up next to her face! Oh so cute, I can't wait for her to come!!! (Its crazy now I can call it a her!!! And not an "it" or "Baby". Thanks so much for everyones support and love!!! Oh p.s. they didn't change my due date. It is still November 16th. The doctor said she is measuring a little further along now (Nov 13th) but not enough to change the date.

We are having a Baby Girl!

I have been telling people for months now that I would post this on my blog but I just haven't had the time! But for those of you that don't know Matt and I are having a baby! I am 14 weeks along, I am due November 16th. The story behind my due date is that when I first found out I was pregnant and called the doctors office they ask you when you had your last period and they determine your due date off of that. So it was set for October 31st, I went in for my first appointment at 12 weeks and they couldn't find a heart beat with the Doppler instrument, so they did an ultrasound (which was really cool, because we got to see the little baby) and they measured it by using the Ultasound info and said the baby was only measuring at 9 1/2 weeks. So that is why they pushed my Due Date back to November 16th. We are just excited for the opportunity to be parents so we won't complain to much if we have to wait 2 more weeks for the little one to get here! I just had my second appointment today and the baby is now far enough along that I was able to hear the babies heart beat with the doppler. It's heart beat was going so fast at 155 beats a minute. It was such an amazing thing to hear the heart beat! The ultrasound appointment is set for June 23rd.

The Move

Hi everyone! So I again apologize for not having posted anything new for along time. I will start to be better! So there have been a few exciting things happen around the McBride household, so I decided I would share.
First off Matt and I have moved out of our West Jordan house and are currently living with Matt's Parents (Jill and John) until we find another one. Boston was so excited about the move because now he can hang with his best friend Chesney all day long! Even though Chesney (a Golden Retriever) doesn't like Boston as much as we would like I know deep down she really likes him being around. (Boston being a Boxer, just wants to play play play)
My little brother Bret got his mission call yesterday and will be serving in the Seattle, Washington Mission. He leaves May 27th!!! Which is so soon!!! We are so excited for him!!!

New Things!

I keep getting in trouble from everyone saying I never update my blog! There hasnt been very many interesting things going on in our lives or else I would! haahha! Matt and I are just working and working and working some more. We have been playing softball on thursday nights with Matts brothers and sister and a bunch of friends, that has been alot of fun! I also have been playing on a volleyball team on monday nights with my sister in law Katie and a bunch of her friends, it has been alot of fun! I absolutely love Volleyball! We aren't all that bad either.
Matt and I have planned a cruise to Mexico and we leave right after Thanksgiving and will be gone for a week! This is something we have been looking forward to for months and can't wait for it to get here!!!

Park City

Matt and I were able to go up to Park City this past weekend to hang out with my dads side of the family! We all stayed up in some condos! We got up there Friday after work and went golfing! Matt and I paired up and golfed with my dad and Grandpa Lynn. I didn't do so well... I hope I didn't break any of those rich peoples windows... Matt didn't do so well either so I didn't feel to bad! We then to a swim in the pool and hung out by the hot tub, it was very relaxing to just sit and talk with everyone. Saturday morning we got up and hit the outlets. I found a few things on sale, and got my first real Golf shirt and shorts! So now I look like I know what I"m doing! We then went and hung out by the alpine slide, and were about to go on it, when it started raining and they closed it down. So we went to Pizza Hut and ate together as a family. Matt and I had to take off by that time because Parleys was closing at 4 and we would have to get home the long way!
It was fun and we are sad that summer is coming to an end!
